Here, you're going to find out how to use the Crompton Chronicles online newspaper.
To get started, click on one of the departments above to start reading an article. It's simple, really. The departments are titled as followed: "Straight Outta' Crompton", News Articles, Featured Articles, Science and Technology, Art and Leisure, Obituary, Opinions, Help, and Staff. Straight Outta' Crompton is the newspaper motto, and is the title of the homepage. To view the homepage, click on "Straight Outta' Crompton." The News Articles tab includes an article that is a long-term event, such as urbanization. The Featured Articles tab includes important news that have happened. The Science and Technology tab has the inventions that were created during the Industrial Revolution. Art and Leisure has what it says, arts and leisure, which consists of book reviews of famous books and paintings. The Obituary is an article with a list of people who have died during the Industrial Revolution. The Opinions page has the opinions of our writers to persuade you to choose one side of an important topic. The Help page is the page you are reading right now, which is used to help you with the newspaper. And lastly, the Staff page includes the names of the creators of the Crompton Chronicles and our jobs for this newspaper. If you're interested in one of the specific topics you see, you left-click on it with your mouse. On the "more..." tab you see, roll your mouse over to see more options that this website has to offer. If you see words that are underlined and light blue, those words may be clicked on, which it will send you to another page. Different stories are divided in each department to show you which topic follows which.

For netbook users - You can adjust your screen view if the images look squashed together or the words are overlapping. Directions are below.
Internet Explorer: At the bottom right corner of a website, there is the magnifier. Choose the zoom percentage you prefer.
Firefox: Go to View -> Zoom -> Zoom out. For this to work, you need to click the zoom out on the page you are viewing.
Google Chrome: Click the wrench on the top-right corner -> Zoom. There is a + or - button to adjust the zoom.
Pages take too long to load?
It's recommended in a slow internet environment to close all unused, or unnecessary, tabs. If there are many people using the internet with a lot of tabs open, the bandwidth of the internet is piled up, and the connection is slowed down.
Also, be sure to clear your history from cookies.
